This book is chock full of detailed information on the treatment of Adult Acne. I was impressed with the extent of the research that went into this book. The author left nothing to chance, she covers all possible scenarios that could occur with adult acne, even a bit of anatomy was covered in the structure and layers of the skin.This is a great book in and of itself, but what I liked most was that several alternatives were given, from your typical drugs to natural remedies. Even the foods to include in your diet in the fight against adult acne were discussed. Highly recommend!

This is an incredibly comprehensive overview of how to deal with adult acne which, make no mistake, is often different than the acne one experiences as a teenager. Yes, they can both be driven by hormones and hormonal fluctuations, but there are differences, and that means you need to treat them differently.This book covers pretty much every facet of cause (hormones, stress, etc.) and treatment, including internal (diet, medications that you take) and external (how you treat your skin, topical treatments, etc.).I was especially pleased by the author's treatment of diet, because there are so many ways that diet plays a role in how our skin looks and feels, and that includes how it impacts acne.Even though I consider myself very well-versed and well-educated when it comes to diet, and also dealing with adult acne, I still found not only reminders, but things mentioned in the book that would never even have crossed my mind in my everyday life. For example, having found myself single following a period when I wasn't, I was not changing my pillow cases as often as I otherwise would. When I was looking at my face and wondering why most of my (admittedly minor, but still a big deal to me) acne was all on just one side of my face, it suddenly hit me: that's the side of my face that is in contact with my pillow for 6 or more hours a night! I ran out and bought a few more pillow cases, and have started changing them more frequently, and whaddaya know! My acne on that side is clearing up! Doh!I also want to mention this homeopathic anti-acne product that I have been using (no harsh medications for me, thank you, although she does cover them in the book, and they can be useful for people): Natrabio Acne Relief TabletsI will say that I found a couple of typos/omitted words in the ebook, however I am not deducting any stars for them (even though I ordinarily would) for two reasons: 1. The book is so darned thorough, and readable, and 2. The author kindly sent me the book as a PDF so that I could easily read and review it, and I know that sometimes when translating a text to PDF things can happen. So, I feel that mentioning it here is sufficient. :-)In full disclosure, Kyla sent me this to review, however I am not bashful about giving my true opinion of a product (hey, I'm a lawyer, just try to *stop* me from giving my opinion! :~) )

My teenage son has severe cystic acne and I have spent hours upon hours researching every possible treatment plan from prescription medications to home remedies and even old wives tales. If you're on that same path, desperately searching for answers, this book is a great place to start. Kyla has compiled all the relevant research available based on her own personal experience battling acne and the scars it leaves behind - physically and emotionally - and put it all together into a compact, easy-to-read format that will make you a near expert overnight. What she has in this book is based on real science, including her own interviews with the best acne experts she could find. Read the book before you talk with your own doctor and you'll be able to have the kind of serious, informed, life-altering discussions you need to have rather than just trying one thing after another with no success. This book deserves more than two thumbs up - it's a guide book that shows you the way out of the severe cystic acne tunnel.

This is an excellent resource for dealing with adult acne. It is obvious the author has done her research on the hormonal, bacterial, stress and dietary causes of acne that affect adults. She has also provided a range of treatment options from diet changes (including recipes in the back!), OTC treatments, product ingredients to avoid and dermatological options. My only piece of advice (and it's a bit of a picky one) is to have a works cited page. There is an extensive list of resources, but it would be nice to have footnotes when a specific work is cited (especially if a direct quote is being used). I found this book to be very informative. The author covers a wide range of causes of adult acne and then details various treatments for those causes. Stone incorporated both expert data and her own personal story to create a book that's both knowledgeable and relatable. This book was easy to understand and follow along with, and included many helpful tips. I would recommend this book to anyone who suffers from adult acne, whether it's mild or severe; there are helpful hints for everyone from diet to cleansing regimens. The different reasons given for adult acne were good to know. The book goes into detail with providing possible solutions for each problem and surprisingly there were receipes in the book to help change your diet. So not only are topical solutions given, but also internal solutions as well. I'll definitely be looking into some of the solutions provided to help myself.

Ralgath a demon and a descendant of highly respected demon parents, is demoted to the ‘customer service’ department in hell (‘just imagine that…lol’) He lost is job and families respect and now has the chance after 3 years to regain his job. He has to work with Chess who by the way caused him to lose his job in the first place. As they work together to find the demons who have disappeared into the living realm we see why it this happened in the first place. Great Read!TA Moore continues our journey with Collared. Jack, an ex-priest turned supernatural PI, has been offered the return of his soul if he finds an invaluable item stolen from Math, the demon who owns Jack’s soul. Jack and Math were wonderful characters and eventually got it right!Ginn Hale a new author for me, engaged me in her story immediately. The Counterfeit Viscount’s world description was sound and easy to follow finding Archie Hobbs selling his soul on the battlefield to Prodigal Nimble Hobbs for the power and wealth to destroy his Uncle. Found world and story ver interesting and I will be finding me some more Ginn Hale reading!!! Asuka Kawashima, when faced with death, sold his soul for the ability to protect people from the monsters.11:59 by C.S. Poe was mesmerizing. After finding Ms. Poe’s Snow and Winter Series I have been hooked on her writing and 11:59 did not disappoint. We meet Asuka Kawashima plummeting to his death, coming face to face with the devil. They make a deal, Asuka selling his soul for the ability to protect people from the monsters in dreams. Time was 11:59. The deal is now 5 years old and Asuka is tired, his world grey without dreaming. He meets Merrick Grace and finds e might need to rethink this. I loved this story !!!Oh my goodness !!!! Rhys Ford blesses us with and Alice Thru The Looking Glass version Ford style with Xander Spade and Wonderland City. Anyone who has read this authors books knows her great ability to story tell, with descriptions that give you a movie while you are reading and this doesn’t disappoint. We learn Xander is a PI in the City and another child has entered the city….Mayhem and Rhys at her best!!!Last but not least Jordan Castillo Price of Psy Cop and Mnervermind fame ends this anthology with her story Dark Favors, and dark it was. What is the cost of doing and asking someone for a Favor is the final question for us to give thought to. Johnny Lockheart is 17 when his story begins, we switch back and forth in time to get the whole story. It was a great ending to a wonderful anthology.5 Star Reads!!!!

I enjoyed reading this anthology very much. I knew it would be a good one since I have read the works of most of these authors and liked them a lot. The focal point of all the novellas was what happened when you made the deal with the devil. From then the sky was the limit and each story was well-written and fantastic. The characters in all of them were well-developed, some of them could be described as anti heroes but most of them possessed integrity and honor in one way or the other. Each story was unique and quite fascinating considering that they had to have a common denominator. In some instances the devil was portrayed as a positive character in others not so much, and I loved that juxtaposition. All in all it was well worth waiting for but it also proved that ignorance is indeed bliss in some circumstances."You take the blue pill—the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill—you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. Remember: all I'm offering is the truth. Nothing more." - Should have taken the blue pill, Neo! But then there wouldn't be a story to tell.

1. Anthology focusing on Deals with the Devil, in their literal, fantastical meaning. When I’m thinking about it right now, it actually would be fun, if even one of the stories had a more metaphorical meaning, but maybe that’s the... deal with this book. Which still is worth checking out.2. For me, only one of the stories was a complete unenjoyable experience. „Collared” by TA Moore was confusing as hell, thus unreadable. I didn’t know what exactly happened and what not, and the style of writing wasn’t helping. I can sometimes overlook the confusing parts, if something will hook me to the story, but no such thing here. I didn’t finish this, read only a quarter of the story. Shame, since it’s pretty long.3. „Infernal Affairs” by Jordan L. Hawk had a good idea (humorous SPN kind of story) and fun characters, but the cliches at the end killed my enjoyment. „Dark Favors” by Jordan Castillo Price... I was not in the mood for the bittersweet and (really) smutty, but it was still good and pretty original with its exchangeable favors set up.4. The shortest story, „11:59” by C.S. Poe was nice bonus, one which diversifed whole anthology cause of it dreamlike mood.5. Aaand there are my favourites. „Wonderland City” by Rhys Ford - captivating take on the Alice in Wonderland, with such an interesting worldbuilding and adult spin on madness. I only wish the final battle to be shorter. „Counterfeit Viscount” by Ginn Hale was magnificent. Suprising, with good pacing, ressembling early 20th century (I think?) fantasy with societal issues. It would be awesome, if there were sequels to this two stories, not because they were unfinished, but cause I would be very glad to come back to their worlds.6. One thing I learned from this - the only way to unf*ck your sold soul is to do a favor for the devil. It’s in every story. Huh.

Interesting stories. The first one was pretty cute really with guffaw the hellhound. The second one was pretty disturbing but we'll written. The third was okay/. I liked the 4th slot wish it had been longer. The rhys Ford was definitely a different take on Alice in wonderland -pretty creative. Jcp's was good, wish there was more emotion but I liked these short stories alot

I purchased this book for my 11 year old son who plays division 1 AAU basketball and this book was exactly what he needed. This book not only reiterates many things I have told my son for years but it covers vital information that not only relates to basketball but to life in general. It covers skill, respect, morals, responsibility, effort and dedication. It explains the things that most coaches assume that skilled players already know. The explanations in this book are clear and basic but are vital to success. My son knew most of the things in this book but know has an in-depth knowledge understands WHY he does the things he does. Its motivating, inspiring, accurate and precise. Every basketball player at ANY age should read this book you will gain something out of it! Im impressed!
